For the European market, we found there was a fast-growing need for an effective way of recovering the original tooth shade after being affected by a medical condition (like trauma, minocycline stains, or tetracycline) or as a result of discoloration, for instance drinking coffee, red wine or smoking.
This resulted in the development of Cavex Bite&White Shade Correction. A single-use, safe, and highly effective medical in-office system used for shade corrections of vital and non-vital teeth. Now, with just 3 applications in one treatment session of about 30 minutes, the dentist can restore a patient’s original tooth shade.
Why Cavex Bite&White Shade Correction
As a dentist, you can encounter patients that experience yellow or gray teeth color. Sometimes this is due to a medical condition. For example, tetracycline can be the cause of tooth discoloration that patients experience. But also necrotic teeth due to trauma is a common reason for dental treatment to restore the original tooth shade. In these cases, it can be a good idea to start an in-office treatment. This is where Cavex Bite&White Shade Correction comes in. The treatment is fast, highly effective, and under the full control of the dentist.
Revolutionary gel
The gel used in the Shade Correction System contains 25% Hydrogen Peroxide Superior. This revolutionary gel, which is developed and patented by Cavex, is based on reactive oxygen which is added in the form of stabilized encapsulated hydrogen peroxide. On contact with saliva, the pure hydrogen peroxide in the HPS gel rapidly breaks down into oxygen and water. In this process, free radicals are released which attack the double carbon bonds that are the source of most discolorations in the tooth.
Due to the unique formula, HPS gel works extremely fast, reducing treatment time to a minimum and therefore decreasing the risk of tooth sensitivity. The thermo-reversable properties of the gel make sure it stays in place during treatment, maximizing the final result. The system consists of a unique applicator pen that uses a brush for maximum control during application and a protective barrier for the protection of the surrounding soft tissue.
Class I Medical Device
Cavex Bite&White Shade Correction is a Class I Medical Device and fully complies with the new European Medical Device Regulation 2017/745 also known as MDR.
This revolutionary system enables dentists to offer a fast, effective, and safe medical intervention for recovering the initial teeth shade.
